Rod Hazlewood is the senior field investigator and performs initial investigations for IAQ Consultants, Inc.'s Indoor Air Quality program. Rod has conducted over 800 IAQ evaluations - the majority of which focusing on potential microbial contamination and amplification due to uncontrolled water intrusion events. Rod provides expertise in assessing indoor environments for cause and origin of water intrusion, sample collection and qualitative documentation of fungal amplification sites, sample collection and quantitative documentation of fungal aerosols. He also conducts primary on-site project supervision and air quality documentation during fungal abatement. Rod also performs air sample collection for traditional Industrial Hygiene projects monitoring worker exposure for chemical and/or biological incitants in accordance with OSHA or NIOSH protocols. Rod is licensed by the TDSHS as a Mold Assessment Technician.

Rod is also licensed by the Texas Department of State Health Services (TDSHS) as an asbestos inspector, air monitoring technician and project manager, conducting initial asbestos assessments and providing on-site project supervision and air monitoring services during asbestos abatement projects, including field analysis of baseline, area, personal, and clearance samples.
